A Russian colonel was killed near Moscowas announced this Saturday by the military intelligence service of Ukraine (GUR).

According to GUR Kolomeytsev, 51, he headed the State Center 924 (military unit 20924) for unmanned aviation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This center trains specialists responsible for the use and maintenance of drones in combat, in particular Iranian “Shahs”which Russia launches in the hundreds every month against residences in Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force informed about it shot down 69 Shahed drones and two X-59/69 missiles during a large-scale attack by Russia this Saturday morning.
According to the same source, Russian troops launched at least 73 drones from their Kursk, Primorsky-Akhtar and Orel regions, as well as from occupied Crimea. In addition, the Russian Air Force launched two X-59/69 missiles from the occupied Zaporozhye region and two Iskander-M missiles from Crimea.
Almost all drones and two X-59/69 missiles were intercepted during air battle that took place in 13 regions of Ukraine, including Kievwith one drone returning to Russian airspace and three disappearing from radar.
So far, casualties have been reported only in the Sumi region (north, adjacent to Kursk), where at least seven people died in two attacks on a hospital.
Several buildings and vehicles were also damaged by drone debris captured in Rivne (west) and Poltava (center) regions, according to local authorities. A Russian missile hit a hotel in the Odesa region (south).
According to the Ukrainian air force, Russia also continued to launch powerful aerial bombardments against areas near the front line and borders between the countries, such as Sumy, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
